Hong Kong government allows cinemas to reopen on Friday as social distancing restrictions ease.

Hong Kong government has planned to reopen cinemas on Friday as social distancing restrictions to fight coronavirus ease.

Hong Kong chief executive Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor announced on Tuesday that cinemas, fitness centers and some other places will reopen with observing precautions.

He said cinema attendees should go through temperature checks before entering the halls.

The government stated that for the 10th time in the past 16 days, Hong Kong had no new cases of COVID-19.
